SVRC Summer Picnic

The Sangamon Valley Radio Club will celebrate the 2018 summer season with a picnic on June 2, from 10am to 4pm at the Rochester Community Park.  We will be at the large pavilion located next to a fishing pond and great protected playground.  Restrooms are close by. Bring your favorite picnic food & drink, radios and antennas - or just come to eat and chat with your fellow amateur radio enthusiasts. Power is available. There are several permanent grills to roast your hamburgers, hot dogs or BBQ squid.  If you plan to fish, bring your fishing license and pole!  RC boats are fun too!

Alternate Directions:

From Dirksen Parkway, take South Grand (RT-29) south toward Taylorville.
In 4 miles, turn right on Main Street (1st Traffic light).
Rochester Park is 1 mile on the right.
Large pavilion is next to the playground.

 

From Dirksen Parkway, take Stevenson Drive east toward the lake.
Stevenson becomes West Lake Drive at the dam.
In 1 mile turn left at the light on Rochester Road (which becomes Main Street).
Rochester Park is on the left in 2 miles.
Large pavilion is next to the playground.
