QST QST QST: Please join us for the debut of the Lucille Fazi Falzone Memorial Ladies Net on Monday night at 8:00 PM. This net will meet weekly on Monday nights at 8:00 PM on the 443.000 repeater with a 94.8 tone and a positive offset. Jamie KD9FZI is your friendly net control operator. We will discuss anything the ladies would like to discuss from ham radio to meatloaf recipes and everything in between (is this like a 'ham' sandwich??). The plan is to evolve the net into the most fun a lady can have on a Monday night. In the percolator are these topics: Earworm Generator: the best way to get rid of an earworm is to give it someone else. These are songs that get stuck in one's head: happy to share these! Heh heh. Although we can't sing on the radio per FCC regs, we can recite lyrics and guess the artist; What's for Dinner? Too often we are stuck in a rut for eats and surreptitiously scope out other peoples' carts at the grocery store for ideas; Pet Stories: funny or poignant stories about our furkids; Trivia: net control is a purveyor of useless information that doesn't even qualify as trivia so the ladies will have to step up on this; HamScapes: the amazing lengths ham radio operators go to to landscape around their towers in the backyard; Dear Ladies: Dear Abby/Emily Post rip-off where we slice and dice on advice columnists' advice; SoapBox: there's plenty of room on Jamie's SoapBox for stuff that pushes your buttons; CW (morse code): we're in FM/phone mode, but it wouldn't hurt us to learn some dits and dahs; Free Swim: just like "cook's choice" in the grade school cafeteria-you get what you get. Ladies pick the topics. Alternatively, we can call it Casserole Night: a little bit of anything. Other ideas are still marinating. Stay tuned!
