The Sangamon Valley Radio Clubs 2026 Field Day Effort will be held at the Open Hours Sight at 4595 Laverna Road Springfield, IL 62707. We will have a a few HF Stations in operation. Club Members look for an email from the President regarding when you may want to operate and a head count for evening food.

Thanks to all that made the W9DUA Field Day event a success.
A special thanks to KB9RW, Br. Stephen for providing access to such a wonderful location for field day.
A highlight of the event was 3 young men who stopped by to visit after having traveled to the Chicago area to pass their technician test. As they were preparing to end their visit a mother brought her son, a scout, who is interested in ham radio. He returned for Monday open hours with more questions.

The Sangamon Valley Radio Club's 2024 effort into Field Day. Setup will start on Friday June 20th at 3pm local. Watch this event and/or the upcoming article on the main website.
On Saturday, June 25 & 26, 2022, the Sangamon Valley Radio Club will be operating a group of amateur radio stations in support of a national event, “Field Day” from the Rochester Community Room next to the library. Field Day is sponsored by the Amateur Radio Relay League, a national organization providing assistance to all U.S. amateur radio operators. Volunteers will be in the Community Room from 1:00 pm Saturday to 12:00 pm Sunday. The event is open to the public.
COVID-19, of course, put the club's 2020 Field Day on hold, but not coordinated individual participation as outlined by ARRL and updated for 2021.
While we're not ready to go full force, you'll be able to taste at least some flavor of Field Day, albeit in front of your computer screen.
