Gov Bruce Rauner has announced that in honor of field day the month of June 2017 will be Amateur Radio Month in Illinois and is encouraging all Illinoisans to join him in observance.

Field Day co-chair Jeremy Wells (KC9WMV) with co-chair Ron Bakunas KC9TEP, will detail the Club's Field Day event coming up at the Riverton Middle School on Saturday, June 24 through Sunday June 25 with a head-to-toe powerpoint that will show and tell you everything you need to know and bring to this annual event.
With temperatures in the 40's, it wasn't a typical late January day. But contacts were made, radio setups were displayed, chilli and stew was served and as usual, it was fun.

Winter Field Day will test your skills in less than optimal conditions. Bring your setup and see how it (and the operator) performs outdoors. This isn't Field Day in June!
(A warm room with restrooms will be provided if you don't want to stay out in the cold.)
